Eddie Gene Causby, 60, of 309 Baxter Road, Cherryville, died Wednesday,
August 3, 2011 at his residence.
Born October 24, 1950 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late David
Thomas "Tom" Causby and Alice Lorene Henson Causby. He worked for the Auto
Mart in Cherryville and attended Blessed Hope Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Earl
Causby; and two grandchildren, Stacey and Casey Mathis.
Survivors: include his wife of 43 years, Ruth Costner Causby; two sons,
David Causby and wife, Martha of Lincolnton and Billy Causby and wife,
Debbie of Cherryville; a daughter, Sheila Mathis and husband, Craig of
Maiden; five grandchildren, David Causby, Jr., Kaitlin Causby, Tyler Mathis,
Jesse Mathis and Kameron Causby; four brothers, JC Causby of Shelby, Walter
Causby of Lawndale, Dean Causby of Grover and Tommy Causby of Shelby; and
four sisters, Betty Heavner White of Shelby, Martha Jones of Lawndale, Linda
Fowler of Shelby and Mildred Young of Shelby.
Visitation: 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, Thursday, Stamey Funeral Home, Fallston.
Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Friday, Wallace Grove Baptist Church, Shelby.
The body will be placed in the church thirty minutes before the service.
Officiating: Rev. Sidney Weaver, Rev. Ray Davis, Rev. Mack Hyder
Burial: Wallace Grove Baptist Church Cemetery
