Edith McDaniel Reynolds

Edith McDaniel Reynolds, age 86, a resident of Kings Mountain, NC, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at her home. She was born in Cleveland County, NC, daughter of the late Edgar Lee McDaniel and the late Eva McCurry McDaniel and step-mother the late Coleen Dixon McDaniel. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband of 60 years James Edward "Jimmy" Reynolds and by three brothers, Dennis McDaniel, Douglas McDaniel and Jack McDaniel and by two sisters, Janelle McDaniel and Priscilla McDaniel. She was a lifelong member of Bethlehem Baptist church where she served as a Sunday school teacher, choir member, VBS worker, Hostess, WMU, and a member of the Dorcas Sunday school class. Mrs. Reynolds retired from the Kings Mountain District Schools working in the cafeteria at the Kings Mountain Middle School. She loved cooking for her family and friends and working in her flower garden. Edith also served with the Ladies Auxiliary of the Bethlehem Fire Department. The family would like to give a special thanks to the caregivers at Cleveland County Hospice. She was a Proverbs 31 lady who loved reading her bible, serving others and loved her family dearly. She will be greatly missed.
