Edward "Ed" Gordon Taylor, 70, of Maiden passed away Tuesday, November 3, 2015, at Catawba Regional Hospice.

Born in Cleveland County, October 17, 1945 to the late Rev. Thomas David Taylor and Winter Jean Bagwell Taylor. He was retired from the furniture industry.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Bobby and Daniel Taylor and sister, Geneva Wilson Scruggs.

He is survived by his daughter, Angela Taylor Punch of Vale; brother, David Taylor of Oak Island; five sisters, Dott Crotts of Shelby, Helen Morris of Casar, Pat Capenter of Cherryville, Joyce Earl of Cherryville, and Sue Jones of Gaffney, SC; two grandchildren, Amber Punch and Cristy Gillian.

Services will be private.
