Elizabeth Cobb Moser

Mrs. Elizabeth Cobb Moser, 92, formerly of Cherryville, NC,
passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Maury Regional Hospital in
Columbia, Tennessee after a brief illness.

Mrs. Moser was born in Virginia on December 2, 1922 a daughter of the late
Rev. William Gurley Cobb and Emma Lillian Akard Cobb. She was a bookkeeper
for the Southeastern Synod of the Lutheran Church in Atlanta, GA. Mrs.
Moser was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Cherryville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rev.
William Dexter Moser, two brothers, John William Cobb James Cobb; and two
sisters, Mary Emma Cobb Mauney and Louise Cobb Beam West.

She is survived by three children; Ronald Dexter Moser of Oranjestad, Aruba;
Dr. Davis Denton Moser and wife Lynn of Memphis, TN; and Elizabeth "Beth"
Moser Wilburn and husband, Dr. Doug Wilburn of Columbia, TN; seven
grandchildren, Wendy Moser Ruocco (Ralph), Terri Moser, Emily Moser Philpott
(Jay), Elizabeth Moser Haymond (Ryan), Aaron Wilburn (Little Star), Lauren
Wilburn and Neil Wilburn, and eight great grandchildren. She is also
survived by two sisters; Mildred Cobb Agner and husband Dr. Marshal Agner of
Cherryville, NC; and Frances Cobb Powell and husband Ernie of Mars Hill, NC.
Also surviving is a number of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 from 9:45AM to 10:45AM
at St. John's Lutheran Church in the Vida Dellinger Parlor, 310 West Church
Street, Cherryville, NC

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at
St. John's Lutheran Church with Dr. Eric Childers officiating. There will
be a reception to follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to St. John's
Lutheran Church, PO Box 100 Cherryville, NC 28021.
