Mrs. Elizabeth Littlejohn Borders, 71, of 2332 Mason St. Shelby, NC departed this life on Friday, November 22, 2013 at her residence.  She was born on September 2, 1942 in Cherokee County, SC to the late Randolph and Fannie Smith Littlejohn.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Borders; two sisters, Lillie Mae Woods and Rose Jefferies and three brothers, Zebedee Littlejohn, Billy Littlejohn and Ray Littlejohn.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Laura Borders of Shelby, David Borders (Stephanie) of Kings Mountain, NC, Barbara Borders of Shelby, and Bishop Randy Borders (Norma) also of Shelby; one brother, Kenneth Littlejohn of Shelby; three sisters, Eunice Smith of Gaffney, SC and Thelma Allison and Bessie Littlejohn both of Shelby; her grandchildren, Eboni O’Steen (Cameron), Deja Borders, Dy’Isha Pryor, Ian Minder, Efrim Borders, Michael S. Minder, Hope Borders, David Borders, II and Matthew Minder; one great-grandchild, Sarai O’Steen; son-in-law, Michael R. Minder; god-son, Stanley Webber; three sisters-in-law; Louise and Annie Littlejohn and Fairy Borders; a brother-in-law, Lamar Borders (Patricia); a special friend, Shirley Surgeon and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Faith Harvest Church, Shelby, NC with Bishop Kenneth Yelverton officiating, and Bishop Randy Borders delivering the eulogy.  Burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the church on Wednesday and at other times at the home.
