Blacksburg -- Elizabeth Nolen Hambright, 89, of 1298 Antioch Road, passed away Sunday, February 28th, 2016, at Carolinas Healthcare System - Cleveland.

Born in Lexington, SC, she was the wife of Samuel Anderson Hambright Sr. and the daughter of the late Carl Judson Nolen and Esther Bagwell Nolen. Mrs. Hambright retired as a supervisor in textiles and was a longtime member of Antioch Baptist Church, but was currently attending Eastside Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Hambright is survived by three daughters, Lynn Hambright Davis and husband, Roney, of Shelby, NC, Carol Price of Blacksburg, and Karen Moss of Spartanburg; seven grandchildren, Sharon Barrett, Skip Hambright, Marty Davis, Jennifer Davis, Amy Hinson, Nathan Price, and Susanna Conger, ten great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hambright was preceded in death by a son, Andy Hambright, two sisters, and one brother.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2016, from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 3rd, 2016 at 2:00 pm in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Vernon Craig, Rev. Eric Sellers, and Rev. Nathan Price officiating. Interment will follow at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery. Mike Black, JK Moore, Dan O'Shields, Cecil Bell, Terry Stacy, and Charles Ray will serve as pallbearers.
