Ellen Swink Drum, 77, of 2341 Sigmon Dairy Rd., Newton passed away Friday
December 11, 2015 at Catawba Regional Hospice.

Born February 3, 1938 in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late
Joseph Robert Watts and Lydia Elizabeth Buff Watts. She was a retired
seamstress for Lee Industries and was a member of Bingham Memorial Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband,
Ralph Swink; one brother, Jude Watts and one grandson, Joshua Smith.

Survivors include her husband of twenty six years, Verlin Junior Drum; son
and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Tawona Swink of Lawndale; four daughters and
sons-in-law, Kathy and Keith Leonhardt of Vale, Joyce and Zeb Fredell of
Vale, Donna and Rick Drake of Shelby, Tammy and Matt Cornwell of Vale; step
son and daughter-in-law, Mickey and Sissy Drum of Newton; step daughter and
son-in-law, Cindy and Wayne Foster of Lincolnton; two brothers, Leonard
Watts of Lincolnton and Garland Watts of Hickory; eleven grandchildren and
ten great grandchildren.

The visitation will be Sunday from 2:00PM until 3:00PM at Bingham Memorial
Church, Toluca

The funeral service will be 3:00PM Sunday at Bingham Memorial Church, Toluca
with Rev. Ronnie Ledford officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
