Erie Luella Ledbetter Bryant

Erie Luella Ledbetter Bryant, age 93, died Saturday, July 04, 2015 at Wendover Hospice. Born in Cleveland County on June 2, 1922 she was the daughter of the late Furman Monroe and Minnie Chambers Pearson Ledbetter. She was a member of Flint Hill Baptist Church and the Mothers Sunday School Class. She worked at Mauney Hosiery and Waldensian Bakery for a number of years. Erie was a recipient of the Carl Carpenter Gold Heart Award, for her contribution to the community, by making over 600 lap quilts that were given to foster children. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Walker Bryant; three brothers, Fred Ledbetter, Rex Ledbetter, and Olin Ledbetter; three sisters, Beulah Harrill, Gladys Weaver, and Blanch Yelton; a son-in-law, Ned Dedmon; and a granddaughter-in-law, Lisa Dedmon.

Erie is survived by; two daughters, Deedie Bryant Dedmon of Shelby and Margaret Bryant Harry of Shelby; three grandchildren, Andy Dedmon, Danny Dedmon, and Ashley Henderson and husband Marty; and three great grandchildren, Victoria Dedmon, Jonathon Henderson, Will Henderson and Brice Henderson.

Memorial service will be held on Tuesday July 7, 2015 at 11:00 am at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Russ Bradley and Rev. David Gordon officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
