| Blacksburg -- Ernest Richard Peterson, 57, of 357 Indian Springs Road, passed away Friday, July 20th, 2012, at his residence.
Born in Gaffney, Mr. Peterson was the husband of Mary Sexton Peterson of the home and the son of the late David and Ophelia Ruby Moore Peterson. He worked as an electrician and attended Clover Church of God of Prophecy.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Peterson is survived by a son, Steven Franklin Turner, of Gaffney; two step-sons, Eric Sexton of the home and Alan Michael Pitts of Greer; two step-daughters, Melissa Dirkle of York and Sierra Davis of Gastonia; a brother, Ralph Dennis Peterson of Blacksburg; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, David Lee Peterson.
The family will receive friends Monday, July 23rd, 2012, from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at Gordon Mortuary. Memorial services will be held Saturday, July 28th, at 11:00am at Clover Church of God of Prophecy.
The family will be at the residence.
