Mrs. Ernestine “Teeny” Blackburn, 84, of 403 E. Academy, Cherryville, NC passed away Friday, October 29,  2010. Services were held at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery. 

Mrs. Blackburn was preceded in death by her 1st husband, Paul Devine; her 2nd husband, J. Hall Blackburn; her parents, Melvin Daniel Friday and Moree Van Dyke Friday; 1 sister, Becky Whitener.

She is survived by 1 son, Steve Boyles and wife Jeannie of Cherryville; 1 daughter, Judy Boyles McGinnis of Charleston, SC; 4 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Helen Finger of Lincolnton.
