Esmer Bullocks Ligon, 93, went home to be with the Lord July 26, 2013, at Peachtree Centre, Gaffney, SC. Born is Cherokee County, SC, she was the daughter of Thomas and Fatha Pruett Bullocks. She was retired from the textile industry.
She is survived by one son - Tommy Ligon of Blacksburg, SC; three daughters - Patricia Greene of Lyman, SC, and Brenda Clark and Maybelle Wright both of Gaffney, SC; nineteen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by two daughters - Doris Phillips and Elizabeth Phillips.
The family will receive friends Saturday, July 27, 2013, from 6-8:00 PM, at White Columns Funeral Service. A Celebration Of Life Service will be held Sunday, July 28, 2013, 3:00 PM, at Mountain View Cemetery, Blacksburg, SC, with Revs. Scott Peterson and Ronnie Cox officiating. At other times, the family will be at their respective homes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
