Essie Mae Trexler Parker
 Cherryville - Mrs. Essie Mae Trexler Parker, 88, of W. Ballard Street,
passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.

Mrs. Parker was born in Rowan County, NC on November 20, 1925 a daughter of
the late Lewis Trexler and Julia Cornelia Morris Trexler.  She was a
homemaker and member of Cherryville Missionary Methodist Church.  

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert
Parker, Sr. and two sons, Robert Parker, Jr. and Jerry Parker.

Survivors include her grandson, Kevin Parker and wife Michelle; great
granddaughter, Ashley Parker and a daughter-inlaw and special friend
Elizabeth "Sissy" Parker Lanier all of Cherryville.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 4, 2014 from 2:30 until 3:30PM at
Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

A Graveside Service will be held at 4:00PM on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at
Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Bobby Holtsclaw
officiating.

Burial will be in Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Cherryville Missionary Methodist Church or to
Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr. Shelby, NC 28150.
