| RUTHERFORDTON - Estelle Harris Blanton Greene, 87, of White Oak Manor, Rutherfordton, died on Tuesday, September 4, 2012. A native of Rutherford County, she was born on November 22, 1924, a daughter of the late Weldon O. And Stella Jones Harris. She was a retired textile worker and was a member of Goode’s Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, James Lee Blanton; her second husband, Hubert Greene; four brothers and one sister. She is survived by two sons, Kenneth James Blanton and wife Barbara of Chesnee and Roland Lee Blanton and wife Joyce of Cliffside; one daughter, Patricia Blanton Ingle and husband Livingston of Sandy Mush; one sister, Macy Munsey of Cliffside; seven grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at 3:30pm on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at The A.C. McKinney Memorial Chapel at McKinney-Landreth & Carroll Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Cecil Lovelace and Rev. Glenn Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2:00pm-3:15pm on Thursday at the funeral home.
