Estelle Love Beam
Estelle Love Beam, age 93, resident of Summit Place, Kings Mountain, NC went to her heavenly home on June 30, 2013 at Kings Mountain Hospice House.  She was born in Kings Creek, SC to the late Robert Jackson Love and Sally Pearl Harmon Love.  She was also preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, John Howard Beam, brothers; Louis, David, Ed, and Odell Love, sisters; Gertrude Compton, Becky Helms, and Ethel Mobley.  Mrs. Beam was a homemaker and lifelong member of First Baptist Church, Kings Mtn. NC.   She served as the crossing guard at East Elementary School for 13 years and was a member of the Carolina Travel Trailer Club for over 30 years.  A loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, who lived a simple life putting her emphasis on serving her Lord and Savior and loving her family and friends, rather than earthly possessions. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Summit Place Assisted Living and Hospice of Cleveland County for the excellent care given to their mother. 

SURVIVORS: Son: Adrian Beam and wife Myra, Bessemer City, NC

Daughter: Vanessa Beam Davis and husband Tim, Kings Mtn. NC

Brothers: Theodore Love and Olin Love, both of Blacksburg, SC

Sisters: Sara Purser, Charlotte, NC; Margaret Carpenter, York, SC; and Elizabeth Redmond, Kings Mtn. NC

6 Grandchildren: Andrea Beam Moore and husband Brent, Abby Beam Stewart and husband Luke, and Chase H. Beam,  all of Bessemer City, NC

Ryan Davis, Michael Davis, and Eric Davis, all of Kings Mtn. NC

5 Great Grandchildren: Kirsten McConnell, Braydon and Austin Stewart, Allie and Bentley Beam.   All of Bessemer City, NC

FUNERAL SERVICE:  First Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, NC Wednesday, July 3, 2013  2:00 P.M.  Dr. John W. “Chip” Sloan, officiating.

VISITATION: 12:30 – 1:30 P.M. Wednesday, July 3, 2013 prior to the service in the Stained Glass Room at First Baptist Church.

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
