Mrs. Esther Olivia Woods, 66, of 303 S. Goforth Street, died Tuesday, May 24, 2011, at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. A native of Union County, South Dakota, she was the daughter of the late John Cornelius and Edythe Adelle Dickman Jonyewaard. Esther was a past member of Resurrection Lutheran Church.
PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Francis Woods.
SURVIVED: She is survived by her son, James Woods of Arizona; daughter Windy Deninger and husband Mikel of Kings Mountain; sisters, Bernice Chappell and husband Larry of Kings Mountain and Barbara Hybertson and husband Roswell of Centerville, South Dakota; brother Dale Jonyewaard, of Klamet Falls Oregon; and three grandchildren.
SERVICES: A private family service will be held.
