Ethel Jeanette Miller Horn
Ethel Jeanette Miller Horn, 96, of 3728 Harris Creek Road, Lawndale, died
Thursday, June 6, 2013 at Kings Mountain Hospice House in Kings Mountain.

Born November 24, 1916 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
William Lafayette Miller and Sarah Etta Champion Miller.  Mrs. Horn was
retired from Cleveland Home Health as a practical nurse and attended Shelby
Nursing School.  She was a member of Zion Baptist Church since 1935 where
she was a former Sunday school teacher.  

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James
Decatur "J.D" Horn; son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Norma Horn; son,
William Edgar Horn; five brothers, Lawrence Miller, Everette Miller, Banks
Miller Carl Miller and Chalmus Miller and seven sisters, Macie Rollins,
Selma McMurry, Minnie Tickle, Kathleen Ormand, Helen Allen, Mamie Devenny
and MIildred Brackett.

Survivors include two sons, Donald Horn and wife, Barbara of Marion and
James "Jimmy" Horn and wife, Kathy of Tabor City; daughter, Vangette White
and husband, Joe of Lawndale;  9 grandchildren, Lynn Sessoms of Tryon, Jill
Rhoney and husband, Chris of Vale, Carol Davis of Marion, Ronnie White and
wife, Ann of Lawndale, David White and wife, Cindy of Lawndale, Scott Horn
of Poquoson, VA, Sissy Horn of Fredricksburg, VA, Tammy Harris and husband,
Jerry of Newport News, VA and DeeDee Horn of Gloucester, VA and 15
great-grandchildren.

Visitation: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Saturday at Zion Baptist Church, Shelby

Funeral Service: 3:00 PM, Saturday at Zion Baptist Church, Shelby

Officiating: Dr. Randy Bridges and Dr. Danny West

Burial: Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, Shelby

Memorials: May be made to Zion Baptist Church Building Fund, 525 W. Zion
Church Road, Shelby, NC 28150 or to Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover
Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
