Mrs. Ethel Odom Spangler, 93 of N. Lafayette St., Shelby, passed away on Saturday, September 25, 2010. Services were held at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel. A private family burial was held at Sunset Cemetery.
Mrs. Spangler was preceded in death by her husband, Mal A. Spangler, Jr.; her parents, D.F. Odom Sr., and Fannie Jordan Odom and a brother, D.F. Odom, Jr.
She is survived by her two loving sons, Mal A. “Al” Spangler III and Donald Spangler, both of Shelby; one grandson and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church Extension Ministries, 120 N. Lafayette St., Shelby, NC 28150.
