Mrs. Ethel Turner Piercy, 85, of Shelby, NC, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 5, 2010. Services were held at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church. Burial followed in Cleveland Memorial Park.
Mrs. Piercy was preceded in death by her husband, William Roscoe Piercy; her parents, James Arthur Lee and Sallie Mealer Turner; 3 brothers, Lee Elmer Turner, Edward Turner and D.L. Turner; 3 sisters, Marcelle Breakfield, Cozetta Moore and Frances Chapman; and 1 son-in-law, Dennis Lipscomb.
She is survived by 4 daughters, Mildred Ledbetter and husband Robert, Margaret Lipscomb, Marjorie Nanney and husband Dr. Ron, all of Shelby, and Marceline Blanton and husband Cleo of Boiling Springs; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister-in-law, Pauline Turner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Building Fund, 1227 Mt. Sinai Church Road, Shelby.
