Eugene (Gene) Sibley Arrowood, 85, died Saturday October 31, 2015 at Carillon Assisted Living.

He was born March 22, 1930 in Cleveland County. He served in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1954. He was a lifelong member of Shelby Presbyterian Church.

He is preceded in death by his wife Nancy Keller Arrowood, his parents, Leonidus Ulrich Arrowood and Maude Mabry Arrowood, and his son Charles Gilbert Arrowood.

Mr. Arrowood is survived by two daughters, Elizabeth Arrowood Carroll and husband Jack of Chattanooga, TN, Laura Arrowood Gibbs and husband Jeff of Suwanee, GA, three grandchildren, Jack Thomas Carroll, III of Atlanta, GA, Laura Carroll Taylor and husband Jesse of Chattanooga, TN, Elizabeth Mabry Gibbs of Atlanta, GA, and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial service for Mr. Arrowood will be held 11:00am Wednesday November 4, 2015 at Shelby Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Luke Harkey officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in Ellis Hall.
