Eula Bradley Childers
Eula Bradley Childers, age 88, of Forest City, died October 31, 2015 at the Fair Haven Home in Bostic.
Born November 25, 1926 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Martin Bradley and Minnie Byers Bradley. Eula worked for the Caroleen Mill for twenty-five years and in the lunchroom for twenty years at the Rutherford County Public Schools. She attended Haynes Memorial Baptist Church and enjoyed doing seamstress work, raising flowers and gardening.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of forty-three years, John Childers; brother, Bill Bradley and two sisters, Ella Humphries and Margaret Caldwell.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Proctor and husband, Don of Bostic and Judy Cole and husband, Ricky of Ellenboro; two sons, Steve Childers and wife, Sondra of Caroleen and Jewell Childers and wife, Carol of Bremerton, Washington. She is also survived by a life-long friend, Vernon Harrill of Forest City; eleven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Scott Butler officiating. Interment will follow in the Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
