Evelyn Campbell Neelands, 82, of 14059 Highway 55 West, passed away Monday, November 1st, 2021, at Atrium Health Hospital in Charlotte.

Born in Laurens, she was the widow of Ben Newman Neelands and the daughter of the late Walter Campbell and Della Campbell Patterson. Mrs. Neelands was a seamstress and was a member of Oak View Baptist Church in Kings Mountain, NC. She loved sewing, gardening, cooking, and especially reading the Bible!!

Mrs. Neelands is survived by three sons, Ronald N. Neelands (Lynn D. Neelands) of Clover, Tony R. Neelands of Clover, and Jeffery L. Neelands (Laura Neelands) of Fletcher, NC; one daughter, Phyllis N. Taylor (Andrew L. Taylor) of York; one brother, Dan Campbell of Pensacola, FL; three sisters, Martha Mahaffee of Seneca, Alice Smith of York, and Laura Adams of York; seven grandchildren, Robert Anthony Neelands, Jason Newman Neelands, Amy Lynn Neelands, Britani Joye Myers, Joshua Ben Neelands, Ashley Brooke Neelands, and Jordon Lamar Taylor; six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Johnathan Taylor, her sisters, Dorothy Sullivan, Floree Clark, and Gladys Smith, and her brother, Gene Campbell.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 4th, 2021, from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm at Oak View Baptist Church, 1517 York Road, Kings Mountain, NC. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Wayne Brazzell officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens, 1774 Filbert Highway, York, SC. The Deacons of Oak View Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.
