Evelyn Crott Black, age 70, resident of Kings Mountain, NC went to be with her Lord on July 29, 2016 at Caromont Health, Gastonia, NC. She was born in Cherokee Co., SC to the late Fred and Lucy Hoyle Crotts. She was also preceded in death by her husband GC Black and sisters, Mozelle Crotts and Julie Crotts. Evelyn was a member of Christ the King Church, Shelby, NC and retired as a CNA2 from White Oak Manor, Kings Mtn. NC. She enjoyed attending and volunteering for events at the Lawrence Patrick Senior Center, Kings Mtn. NC. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother with a heart of gold. She dearly loved and enjoyed her grandbabies and family. Her love for God was evident in her everyday life, especially when it came to helping others.
