Evelyn was born September 1, 1933 in Rutherford County, NC to the late Paul Lee Fite and Ethel Beam Fite. She worked for Doncaster and Tanner Industries for many years and worked with her husband as a truck driver for Truck Services Inc. for several years. She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church where she had served as the Sunday School Treasurer. She enjoyed flowers and various kinds of arts and crafts, but her life’s love was spending time with family and having “get togethers.”
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Paul Ray Bradley; one brother, Charles Jerry Fite and one sister, Vickie Suzanne Ayers.
Survivors include one daughter, Deena Bradley Moore and husband, Charles of Sunny View, NC; two sons, Dennis Ray Bradley and wife, Sheila of Caroleen and Donnie Lee Bradley and wife Peggy of Bostic; one sister, Diane Taylor and husband, Henry; one brother, Gene Fite and wife, Joyce all of Forest City and one sister-in-law, Gail Fite of Cliffside. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Brian Bradley, Danny Bradley, Bobby Bradley, Brandon Bradley, Ashley Bradley and Tyler Bradley; two step-grandchildren, Tony Massey and Paige Moore; five great grandchildren, Kaylee Bradley, Pixie Bradley, Tabitha Bradley, Emma Bradley, Evangelina Bradley and one step great-grandson, Gabriel Massey.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 12, 2013 at Providence United Methodist Church with Reverend David Bradley, Reverend Danny Bumgarner and Reverend Danny Black officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. At other times, they will be gathered at 154 Spencer Street, Caroleen.
