Evelynn Cooper Harrison, 91, 801 N. Logan Street, Gaffney, SC, passed away October 3, 2015. Born in Cherokee County, she was the wife of the late Julian Davis "J.D." Harrison and the daughter of the late John Gary and Zelia Fortenberry Cooper. She was a member of Cherokee Avenue Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. She was the former secretary of E. C. Harrison Oil & Coal Co.
She is survived by her son, Julian C. Harrison, and her daughter, Michele H. Botelho and husband, Wally, all of Gaffney; two grandchildren, Ebbie A. Harger and Jennifer A. Pennington both of Gaffney; and three great-grandchildren, Megan Beason Harger, Jayden Harger and Julianna Pennington. In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Hord Cooper.
A Private Service will be held. The family will receive friends Sunday from 6-8:00 PM at the home of her granddaughter, 706 Cherokee Avenue, Gaffney, SC.
