Everette G. Camp

Everette G. Camp, age 91, died Friday August 28, 2015 at his home. Born in Cleveland County on September 30, 1923, he was the son of the late Charlie M. and Etta McCurry Camp. Everette spent three years serving in the Army as a Medic during WWII. Everette retired from Lily Mill where he worked for 41 years and was a member of the Ole Timers Club in recognition for 25 years of service. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church since 1952 and over the years has served as a deacon, a trustee, a choir member and a member of the Bethel Quartet. In addition to his parents, Everette is preceded in death by seven brothers and three sisters, Alonzo Manson "Bank" Camp, Badge Camp, Janie Camp Brooks Goins, Ralph Camp, Rev. "Yates" (J.Y) Camp, Lawrence Camp, Rev. Clyde Lee Camp, Helen Camp Kelly, Rev. Dwight Camp, and Lucille Camp.

Everette is survived by his wife of 73 years, Annie Sue Arrowood Camp; Three sons, Ronald Steve Camp and his wife Kim of Taylorsville, Charles Keith Camp of Spartanburg and Bruce Neal Camp of Shelby; seven grandchildren, Allyson Noel Camp, Ashley Camp Kleeman, Charles Everette "Chuck" Camp, Chad Collins, Rhonda Collins Mills, Christy Camp Vassey, and Corey Lee Camp; four great grandchildren, Jayden Cole Kleeman, Haiden Alexis Vassey, Max Shaun Kleeman, Hunter Rylan Vassey; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday August 30, 2015 at 3pm at Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. Tim Simms officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 2pm until the start of the service at 3pm.
