Mrs. Fannie Ruth Tuft Goshey, 78, of 317 Best St. Shelby, NC departed this life on  Monday, January 6, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.  She was born in Cleveland County to the late Willie and Essie Goddard Tuft on September 24, 1938 and was their fifth eldest child.

Mrs. Goshey was a very loving and friendly person who enjoyed having fun.  She also enjoyed working on puzzles, and traveling with her sister while she was able. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jerry Goshey; son, Andrew Lewis Tuft and two sisters, Essie Tuft Simon and Beatrice Tuft.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, Edward Eugene Tuft of Cherryville, NC; two sisters, Annie Mae Tuft Parks of Charlotte, NC and Margie Tuft of Shelby; a grandchild, Tiara Lashay Wilson of Shelby; two special nieces, Lisa Tuft of Shelby and Sheila Parks of Charlotte; a special aunt, Lula Mae Roberts of Grover, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 10, 2014 at 2:00 PM at S.T. Enloe Memorial Chapel with Rev. Billy Houze officiating.  Burial will take place at Sunset Cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2:00 PM at the chapel on Monday and at other times at the home of her niece, Lisa Tuft, 402 Highland Ave., Shelby.  Condolences can be expressed online at www.enloes.net.  Enloe Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
