Faye Childers McSwain, 80, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2020 at Carolina Care Health & Rehabilitation Center in Cherryville.

Faye was born on November 22, 1939 in Gaston County, NC a daughter of the late Albert Childers and Stella Sawyer Childers. She was a 1958 graduate of Ashley High School in Gastonia and was retired from Fasco in Shelby. Faye was a member of Plainsview Baptist Church in Lawndale.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Robin Smith and two brothers, Leon and Jimmy Childers.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Billy J. McSwain of the home; a daughter, Donna Carpenter and husband Dwayne; a son Doyle McSwain and wife Kelly and a son-in-law Tom Smith all of Shelby; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 3, 2020 at 3:00 PM at Plainsview Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bill Ewing officiating.
