| Faye Dover Patterson, 68, of 238 Bear Creek Road, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011, at her home.
Born in Kings Creek, Mrs. Patterson was the wife of Mann Patterson of the home and the daughter of the late Lloyd and Mary Lee Doster Dover. Mrs. Patterson worked with Nestle and Eaton Transmissions and was a member of Smyrna Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Patterson is survived by two sons, Randy G. Moss and wife, Sharon, of Kings Creek and Timothy E. Patterson and wife, Karen, of Gaffney; three step-sons, Yancey W. Patterson and wife, Suzanne, of Blacksburg, Anthony Patterson and wife, Lisa, of Blacksburg, and Wayne Owens of Gaffney; a brother, William Ed Dover, of McConnells, SC; five sisters, Betty Wallace of Clover, Lorene Boheler of Kings Creek, Charlene Griffin, Lonie McKnight, and Tammy Goforth, all of Smyrna; six grandchildren, Christopher D. Moss of Rock Hill, Stephen G. Moss of Arizona, Rebecca F. Moss of Rhode Island, Ashley Patterson, Jessie Patterson, and Whitney Patterson; and 2 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Patterson was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Michael Lynn Moss, and a brother, Lloyd Dover, Jr.
The family will receive friends Sunday, October 23, 2011, from 12:00 - 2:00 PM at Gordon Mortuary. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 PM in the Gordon Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Gregg Martin, Rev. Lucky Earls, and Rev. Todd Justice officiating. Interment will follow in the Canaan United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Jerry Wallace, Terry Wallace, Robbie Dover, Jeff Boheler, Bobby Griffin and Alan Moss will serve as pallbearers.
The family will be at the residence.
