Mr. Fet Granville Yount, 75, of 357 Meadow Creek Road, Casar, NC, passed away Saturday, July 3, 2010. Services were held at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Casar, NC. Burial followed in Palm Tree United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Yount was preceded in death by his parents, Noah Hartzell Yount and Minnie Jane Toney Yount; 5 brothers, James, Hazel, Golden, Bufford and Griffin Yount; and 3 sisters, Lonnie Mae Yount, Melissa Holtzclaw and Ethel Lee Yount.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth Logan Yount; 1 son, Richard Yount and wife Denise of Lattimore; 5 step-sons, Warren Tallent of Shelby, Jeff Tallent of New House, Darrell Tallent and Thomas Tallent, both of Casar, and Charles Tallent of Lawndale; 1 step-daughter, Deborah Davis of Shelby; 1 granddaughter; 13 step-grandchildren; and his mother-in-law, Nettie Logan.
