The City of Shelby Stormwater Division will be having a First Broad River Clean-Up Event on July 30, 2016, from 9 - 11 a.m.
Last year approximately one ton of debris including tires was successfully removed from the river, but there is still more to be done. Clean rivers provide everything from clean drinking water to recreational activities such as swimming, canoing, and fishing as well as healthy habitat for fish and wildlife. We will be wading the river for this event so come prepared with appropriate footwear and clothing. Help us clean and protect the First Broad River.
