Mr. Floyd Dean Allred, age 72 of Shelby, passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Patti Reid Allred of the home, daughters, Rhonda Crisp and husband Doug, Amy Cable, and Tracey Adkins and husband Eric and the mother of his children, Dianne Allred, all of Marion, NC, six grandchildren, Stephanie, Adam, Paige, Lauren, Meredith, and Jackson, all of Marion, NC, two great grandchildren, Ellie and Dalton, a sister, Lois Lewis of Greensboro, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Born November 7, 1943 in Greensboro, NC, he was the son of the late Lacy and Mary Allred and was preceded in death by brothers, Jimmy and Jerry Allred.
Mr. Allred enjoyed sitting out at the lake and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed traveling and camping. He worked and retired from Rite Aid Pharmacy.
A celebration of his life will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 21, 2016 at Lambeth-Troxler Funeral Home, Greensboro, NC.
