FOOTHILLS FARMERS MARKET...
Singer/songwriter/musician Josh Hudson will perform live at Foothills Farmers’ Market in Uptown Shelby on Saturday, September 18 from 9:15 until 11:30 AM. Josh’s self-described “dirt road music” goes to the heart of simple country living. His song, “Mud on the Plow” speaks to the plight of the American farmer and serves as a tribute to those whose dedication and hard work help to provide our local food supply. His lyrics remind us, “there was food on the table when there was mud on the plow”.

There is still plenty of selection at Foothills Farmers’ Market, despite a challenging growing season for Cleveland County farmers. This Saturday, look for green beans, field peas, okra, tomatoes (including organic and heirloom varieties), squash, cucumbers, muscadines, baked goods, granola, sourdough bread, fresh pimento cheese, salsa, herb dip, homemade soaps, candles, and all-natural home/personal care items. Be sure to sample some grilled vegetables while you’re there.
