Mr. Forest Edward Vinson, 76, of Cherryville, NC, passed away on May 9, 2026 at Atrium Health Cleveland. He was born in Cleveland County on November 17, 1949 to the late Leroy Vinson, Sr. and Alvesta Clements Vinson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Renee Vinson Lail and his brother, Leroy Vinson, Jr.

His precious memories are left to his wife of 55 years, Mary Rebecca Vinson of the home; daughter, Terry Whitworth (Larry) of Cherryville, NC; brothers, William Vinson, Sr. (Marie) of Shelby, NC and Dale Vinson of Panama City, FL; sisters, Wenda Vinson and Brenda Nix (Rev. John Nix) both of Charlotte, NC; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; special friend, Keith Perkins of Kings Mountain, NC; and a host of other family, relatives, and friends.

Funeral services were held on Monday, May 18, 2026, at Hope Community Church, 312 at 2:00 p.m. with burial in the Jones Tabernacle CME Church cemetery.
