Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

Don was born February 16, 1944 in Cleveland County, a son of the late Bob and Ethel Richard.  He

worked in the textile industry at Doran and Cleveland Mills and retired from wood crafting.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Richard; brother, Gene Richard; and step-daughter, Deana

Wright.

He is survived by sons John B. Richard and wife Necole of Shelby, and Daniel S. Richard of Shelby,

step-daughter, Peggy Elswick of Johnson City, Tennessee; brothers, J. B. Richard and wife, Gladys,

Alfred Richard and wife, Elizabeth and Kenneth Richard;  12 loving grand children and several great

grand children.

The family will also receive friends at Cleveland Funeral Services on Tuesday, 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.

Family headquarters will be at the son’s residence, 1683 Montevista Drive, Shelby, NC

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
