Frances Elizabeth Humphries Mode, 96, of 702 Billys Drive in Shelby, passed
away Thursday April 30, 2015 at home.

Born February 26, 1919 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
Rastus Humphries and Lecie Walker Humphries. She was a member of Mt. Sinai
Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband,
Corbett Mode and three brothers, Hugh Lee Humphries, Buren Humphries, and
Ray Humphries.

Survivors include four daughters, Kathryn Gantt of Shelby, Hazel Davis of
Blacksburg, SC, Rhonda Brooks and husband, Jerry of Shelby, and Helen Nance
and husband, Gary of Mooresville, honorary daughter, Debi McClain of Shelby,
one sister, Myrtle Conley of York, SC, eight grandchildren and nine great
grandchildren.

Visitation: 2:00PM until 3:00PM Sunday at Goodes Grove Baptist Church.

The memorial service will be 3:00PM Sunday at Goodes Grove Baptist Church
with Rev. Robbie Hensley.

Burial will be private.
