Mrs. Frances Ellen Shoup, 67 of 131 Buck Chapman Road, passed away March 15, 2015 at Carolinas Healthcare System - Cleveland.

She was born on January 17, 1948 in Cleveland County and was a daughter of Beauford Jack Houser and Hazel Parker Houser both of Lawndale. She was retired from McNeely Furniture and was a member of Carpenter's Grove Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Faye Dwight Shoup; son, Robert Chapman and wife Renee of Sherrills Ford; daughter, Tracy C. Barrett and husband David of Lawndale; stepson, Allen Shoup and wife Danielle of Lawndale; stepdaughter, Stephanie Shoup of Lincolnton; three brothers, Gerald Houser and wife Jeanie of Lawndale, Jim Houser and wife Kim of Denver, and Ronnie Lail and friend Patricia Hamrick of Lawndale; two sisters, Marilyn Emery of Lawndale and Debbie Keener and husband Bob of Hickory; six grandchildren, Joshua Barrett and wife Chasity, Kayla Barrett, Alex Chapman, Andy Chapman, Carson Shoup, and Kaden Shoup; and great grandchild, Ayden Barrett.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 18, 2015, at 3:00 PM at Carpenter's Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Welch officiating. The burial will follow in the church cemetery.
