Frances “Fran” Franklin Plonk, age 76, resident of Shelby, NC died July 12, 2014 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center, Shelby, NC.  She was born in Gaston Co. NC to the late Frank Franklin and Blanche Homesley Franklin.  She was also preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Joe Franklin.  Mrs. Plonk was a graduate of the University of North Carolina and retired from Copeland Industries, Shelby, NC.   She was a member of Hoey Methodist Church, Shelby, NC.  She was a loving wife, sister, and friend who always put in 200% to everything she did.

NC; Brandon Wesley Lee Gist, Minneapolis, MN;  Timothy Dwayne Franklin, Shelby, NC; Niece: Symantha Corey Mathis and husband Josh, Kings Mtn. NC

FUNERAL SERVICE: Ollie Harris Memorial Chapel, Wednesday, July 16, 2014; 3:00 P.M.   Rev. Priscilla Walker and Rev. Roy T. Byers, officiating.

VISITATION: 2:00 – 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 16, 2014 prior to the service at Harris Funeral Home, Kings Mountain, North Carolina

INTERMENT: Mountain Rest Cemetery, Kings Mountain, North Carolina
