Frances Irene Campbell Hord, age 85 of Mary’s Grove Road, died Saturday, April 6, 2013 in Carolina
Care after an extended illness. Frances was born on July 8, 1927 in Lincoln County, the daughter of the late William Scott Campbell, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Fredell Campbell, was retired from the Howell Manufacturing Company, a member of the First Baptist Church and with her late Husband Carl David Hord, very active in the senior citizens of Cherryville. Others that preceded her in death are brothers, J. R. Campbell, William “Bud” Campbell, W. Scott Campbell, Jr., and Emanuel Campbell, sisters, Pinkie Sanders, Sue Sneed, Laura Annie Campbell and Wilma Davidson.
Survivors: Brother: John Campbell and wife Pat K. Campbell, Cherryville, Sisters: Katherine Mull and husband Walter of Waco and Louise Adams of Bessemer City. Sisters in law: Vergie Campbell, Sue Campbell of Cherryville and Judy Campbell, of Shelby, numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00PM Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, Cherryville with Rev. Dr. Vince Hefner officiating, burial will follow in Capernaum Cemetery, Waco. The Family will receive friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Monday, April 8, 2013 at Carpenter’s Funeral & Cremation Services. At other times they will be at the home of John and Pat Campbell 427 Paul Beam Road, Cherryville.
