Frances L. Mullinax "Fancy Francie" Upchurch, 92, of 4383 Homer Burns Ave, formerly of Hardin Dr in Gaffney, passed away on Wednesday, March 22nd, 2023, at her home.

Born in Gaffney, SC, she was the widow of Floyd G. Upchurch and the daughter of the late Jessie and Nell Sprouse Mullinax. Frances formerly worked in textiles and was a member of the Blacksburg Church of God.

Surviving Mrs. Upchurch are two daughters, Wanda Burns and Robyn Roach, both of Hickory, NC, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren, and a sister, Betty Mullinax, of Shelby.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Upchurch was preceded in death by a son, Arnold Upchurch, thirteen siblings, and two grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 26, 2023, from 1:30 pm - 2:30 pm at Faith Baptist Church of Shelby. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:30 pm with Rev. Johnny Owens officiating. Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery in Blacksburg. Timmy Martin, Doug Fitch, Jordan Fitch, Zach Greene, Sarah Roach, and Lisa Greene will serve as pallbearers. Jimmy Martin will be an honorary pallbearers.

The family will be at the home of Wanda Burns, 4294 Johnson Bridge Rd, Hickory, NC 28062.
