Lincolnton – Mrs. Frances Rhyne Black, 81, of 2901 Wesleyan Ch. Rd. passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013 at her residence.

Frances was born in Lincoln County, NC on May 8, 1931 a daughter of the late Earl Edward Rhyne and Ruth Loftin Rhyne.  She was a homemaker and an active member of Covenant Bible Church in Lincolnton and served the church in many capacities.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years Robert Clarence Black of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Bob Black and Becky of Maiden; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy Black Mosteller and Hal and Barbara Black Saunders and husband Randy all of Lincolnton; eight grandchildren, Diana, Melody, Randy, David, Michael, Charlie, Matthew and Bryan and eight great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, March 4, 2013 at 4:00PM at Covenant Bible Church with the Rev. David H. Herbertson officiating.

Visitation will be immediately following the service and at other times the family will be at the home.

Burial will be in the Black Family Section of City Memorial Cemetery in Cherryville.
