Frances Vassey Wright, 88, passed away on Thursday, November 14, 2013 at home.  Born in Cleveland County she was the daughter of the late Haskiel Vassey and his wife Mildred “Bill” Vassey and Cinda Green Vassey.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charlie M. Wright; brothers, Herman H. Vassey and Larry Vassey.  Frances was a member of Zoar Baptist Church.  She retired from J.C. Penneys after 18 years as a sales associate. 

Frances is survived by her sons, Charles “Chuck” Wright of Shelby and Larry Thomas Wright and wife Susan of Polkville; daughters, Cheryl Spinks and husband Randy of Pace, Fl and Rebekah “Becky” Wright of Shelby; brothers, Thurman Vassey and wife Dorothy and Yates Vassey; step sister in laws, Jennie Wright Rash, Sib Vassey, Mable Vassey; grandchildren, Lisa Gold, Danny Spinks, Kevin Queen, Heather Winecoff and husband Michael; 7 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, November 18, 2013 at Zoar Baptist Church.  Dr. Rob Helton and Dr. Robert Rose will be officiating.  Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00pm prior to the service at the church.  At other times the family will be at the home.
