Francis “Frank” Paul Heredos, age 83 died Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Carolina Care in Cherryville. Born in Lakewood, Ohio on June 29, 1931, he was the son of the late Stephen Jr. and Josephine Ann Chlebo Heredos.  Frank was a member of St. Mary’s Help of Christians Parish where he served as a lay minister. He was retired from Reliance Electric as an electrical engineer after 42 years of service.  He loved playing golf and was on the golf team from Reliance. He enjoyed playing the accordion. He attended Cooper School of Art where he obtained an art degree. He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Heredos; a son-in-law, Michael Lakin.

Frank is survived by his wife of 57 years, Marianne Zakrajsek Heredos; two sons, James Heredos and wife Trish of Cleveland Ohio, and Eric Heredos of Raleigh; four daughters, Kathy Formby and husband Scott of New York City, Suzanne Poucher and husband Ted of Cleveland Ohio, Mary Lakin of Indianapolis Indiana, and Laura Rogers of Cleveland Ohio; a brother David Heredos of Marblehead Ohio; and 13 grandchildren, Rosemary, Sam, Jonathan, and Daniel Heredos, Jacob, Nathaniel, Zachary, and Elizabeth Poucher, Steven and Daniel Lakin, and Mitchell, Max, and Jack Rogers.

Funeral mass will be held on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Help of Christians Parish with Father Michael Kotter officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory.
