Frank Shumaker Bailey, known affectionately as Frank by those who loved him, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, in Shelby, North Carolina at the age of 80.

Born on January 22, 1945, in Washington DC, Frank was a generous soul with a kind heart and an endearing smile.

Frank was predeceased by his parents, Oren and Linnie Bailey, his sisters, Edna Shumaker and Pauline Shumaker, and his daughter, Trina Clark. His legacy continues through his loving wife, Sandra Bailey, son, Frankie Bailey, and daughter, Teresa Matchin. Frank was a man of integrity, whose presence brought comfort and whose life was a testament to the value of family.

Frank's life will be honored on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel, with services to be officiated by the Rev. Jackie Price. Interment will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends and relatives are invited to gather for visitation from 1:00 pm - 1:45 pm on Thursday, before the commencement of the service.

Frank's story is one of earnest dedication, humble service, and unwavering love--a narrative that will be eternally engraved in the hearts of those he touched. He will be sorely missed, but fondly remembered.
