Frankie Black Brown,
 Mrs. Frankie Black Brown, 76, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at Gaston Memorial Hospital.

Frankie was born in Gaston County, NC on January 3, 1936 a daughter of the late John Henry Black, Sr. and Ethel Alexander Black.  She attended Cherryville High School.  Frankie was a member of Bess Chapel United Methodist Church of Cherryville where she served as a Sunday School teacher, member of the church council, the choir and the United Methodist Women.  Frankie was also a member of the Cherryville American Legion Post 100 Ladies Auxiliary and Past Worthy Matron and member of Cherryville Chapter 156 Order of the Eastern Star. 

Survivors include her husband W. Gerald Brown of Cherryville; two sons, Wayne Beam and wife Brenda of Burlington and Terry Geitner and wife Debi of Asheville; three daughters, Donna Cloninger and husband Paul and Kimberly Green and husband Keith all of Dallas and Diane Thompson and husband Steve of Moore, SC; one sister, Deborah Barnes, of Cherryville; two brothers, John H. Black, Jr. and wife Rita of Vale and Jacob D. Black of Palm Desert, CA; two grandchildren Jonathan Taylor Beam of Raleigh and Joshua Zane Cloninger of Dallas.

In addition to her parents Frankie was preceded in death by her husband Fred D. Fulbright, Jr. and a sister Linda Black Ford.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 12:45 until 1:45PM at Bess Chapel United Methodist Church.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 2:00P.M. at Bess Chapel United Methodist Church with the Revs. Harvey Gates and George Williams officiating.

Burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia.
