Frankie Bolch Setzer passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at Hospice Cleveland County Wendover.  Born January 28, 1922, in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Braxton Bragg and Lilly Florence Sigmon Bolch.  She was also preceded in death by a brother, Harry Braxton Bolick and wife Annie Kaylor Bolick.  Frankie was an active member of Ascension Lutheran Church for 52 years.  She enjoyed gardening, needlepoint, reading and cooking.  She was very passionate about her three granddaughters, and her church family.  Frankie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Frankie is survived by her husband of 60 years, John L. “J.L.” Setzer; son, John L. Setzer, Jr. and wife Adrianne of Sharpsburg, GA; daughter, Elisa Setzer Washburn and husband Rick of Shelby; granddaughters, Amanda Setzer Truett and husband Will of Cayce, SC, Sarah Setzer of Sharpsburg, GA, Jenna Washburn of Shelby; niece Andra Pingel and husband David of Conover, NC; great niece, Kathryn Pingel of Conover, NC.

The family would like to extend a special “thank you” for the care given by the staff of Hospice Wendover and for the loving support of the Ascension Lutheran Church family and friends.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, September 22, 2012 at Ascension Lutheran Church. The Rev. Jeff Erbskorn will be officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the fellowship hall at the church. Interment will follow at 5:00pm at Catawba Valley Memorial Park in Hickory.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Ascension Lutheran Church, 300 North Lafayette Street, Shelby, NC, 28150 or Cleveland County Hospice, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
