Franklin Hal Queen
 Franklin Hal Queen, 83, of 3709 Hickory Nut Road, Shelby, died Tuesday,
February 14, 2012 at Cleveland Regional Medical Center in Shelby.

Born January 23, 1929 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late John
Wesley Queen and Grover Cleveland Justice Queen.  He was employed by Keeter
Motors and H & H Tire.  Hal was a member of Knob Creek United Methodist
Church and Fallston Masonic Lodge # 356.  He was also a member of the Oasis
Shriners of Charlotte.  He loved to play the steel guitar and played with
Country Lyrics.  Hal was also served in the US Army.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons, Lamar
Franklin Queen and Phillip David Queen; three brothers, Justice Rheid Queen,
JD Queen and David Loy Queen and three sisters, Georgia Q. Wright, Pansy Q.
Martin and Julia Q. Richards.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years Hattie Sanders Queen.

Visitation: 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Friday, Knob Creek United Methodist Church

Funeral Service: 3:00 PM, Friday,  Knob Creek United Methodist Church

Officiating: Pastor Adam Green, Rev. Patricia Chaput and Dr. Harold E.
Wright

Burial: Knob Creek United Methodist Church Cemetery
