Mr. Fred Eugene Hamrick, 72, of Oak Grove Road, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2010. Services were held at Oak Grove Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery with Military honors.

Mr. Hamrick served our country in the U.S. Army as a Military Police.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Victor Lee and Rachel Clary Hamrick; his sisters, Nellie Sue Fraser, Annie Rae Bridges and Nancy Mayes.

He is survived by his brothers, W. Keever Hamrick of Kings Mountain; Lamar Hamrick of Shelby; Dr. Ector Hamrick and wife Carol of Portsmouth, Virginia, and sister, Emily Mayes and husband Kenneth of Kings Mountain and his brother-in-laws, Carl Bridges of Shelby and Wayne Mayes of Kings Mountain and many loving nieces, nephews and friends.
