Fred Junior Elmore, 68, of Old Hwy 150, died November 26, 2015 at his residence. He was born in Lincoln County on April 1, 1947, a son of the late Fred Odell and Virginia Sloan Allen Elmore. Junior had attended Crouse United Methodist Church and was a former member of Crouse VFD. He found great pleasure in farming and gardening.
He is survived by his siblings Sharon Williams (Rusty) of Crouse, Barbara Dalton of Cherryville, and Tim Elmore of Crouse; children he helped raise Robin Smith and Jean Lail, special nephew Brent Elmore and his caregiver Pam, three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday November 29, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Jerry Lail officiating. Burial to follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 28 at the funeral home from 6:00-8:00 PM and other times at the home.
