Free Workshops offered by Cleveland County Library

The Cleveland County Library System (CCLS), as a Google Official City Partner, will host five workshops at different locations around Cleveland County in the month of January. The workshops will teach local business owners and/or managers how to claim their free Google verified local business listing. With four out of five people using search engines to find information on local businesses, it is more important than ever for a company to be quickly and easily found online. With a free, verified Google business listing, local businesses are "search engine optimized," meaning that, when someone searches for a general type of business, or for a specific business name, verified businesses appear at the top of the search results.
CCLS will host workshops at the following locations, dates, and times:
Thursday, January 12: Casar Volunteer Fire Department, 5757 Casar Rd, Casar, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm.
Thursday, January 19: Boiling Springs Town Hall, 114 E College Ave, Boiling Springs, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm.
Thursday, January 26: Spangler Branch Library, 112 Piedmont Dr., Lawndale, from 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm.
Tuesday, January 31: Cleveland County Memorial Library, 104 Howie Dr., Shelby, from 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm.
Participants will need to know the Gmail account address and password associated with their business (if you do not already have a Gmail address, one will be created at the workshop), the businesses' hours of operation, physical address, phone number, and bring a flash drive with photos of their business (logos, exterior, products, etc.) to add to their verified listing. To be verified instantly, participants should also bring one of the following: a utility bill for the business, tax letter, or business registration certificate. To register for a workshop, call Cleveland Memorial Library at 704-487-9069, or register online at ccml.libguides.com.
