Gardner-Webb University Fine Arts Concert is Oct. 12th
On TUESDAY, October 12, at 8:00 p.m. in the GWU Dover Theatre, the Fine Arts Department will present a concert from three ensembles: Concert Choir, Chorale, & the Handbell Ensemble.  The concert will be under the direction of Dr. Paul Etter.

The Handbells, made up of GWU students and faculty, will play pieces ranging from arrangements from Bach to The Lion King.

The Chorale will perform works from the Romantic and Contemporary eras, including spirituals and a Jamaican-styled standards.

The Concert Choir, back from their successful performance at the North Carolina American Choral Director’s Association (ACDA) conference, will perform pieces featured at that concert. Also included will be an assortment of music from Renaissance to Contemporary, sacred and secular, and more.

“This was the first time that a choral group from GWU has sung at the ACDA convention and this was a great honor for Dr. Etter and our very fine GWU Concert Choir,” states Dr. Patricia Sparti, chair of the Department of Fine Arts.

The concert is open and free to the public. More information on this and other fine arts events is available at 704-406-4000.
